In my last post I made mention to a pile of cedar deck boards I claimed from a local neighbor. Little did he know that his old deck would be reclaimed and sent all over Canada and the USA. I have made quite a few pieces from those cedar boards but this was the first piece I made with the cedar. This big piece made its way to Vancouver in January 2017.
The cedar takes on all different looks depending on how I stain in. In this next picture I stained the cedar dark and one would never know it is cedar. This sweet piece has a home in Regina Saskatchewan along with many other pieces I have created recently with the same cedar.
And lastly, this smaller beauty made its way to the USA a couple months ago.
Three very unique and different pieces made from one cedar deck! I can't wait to see where the rest of the cedar deck ends up!
Cheers,
Courtney

I really like the geometric style and I myself often work in it.
You have very interesting work! You can use different wood textures and make interesting and original compositions.
