A whole new adventure ahead

Hey! this is my first post in here, I'm quite excited to tell you about the trip I've ahead. First, lest start with the basics, lemme get myself introduced; my name is Alex, or Ale, or Alejandro —if you like being formal—, I'm a venezuelan artist, just getting started in life. If you've heard about my home country, you know how things are fucked, and well, it is all related to my trip; isn't it for most venezuelans, anyway?

("hey, wait a godamn second, what about patreon's previous logo there?" oh shut up, I was too lazy to remove it for this post alone).

Yeah, this is yeat another "hey I'm venezuelan, my country is a mess™" post, but I want to fill it with less "boo-hoo, dictactorships" and more... I dunno, excitment.

A good summary of what's going on is simply this: socialism doesn't and won't work, plus some old dependency to oil instead of paying attention to other economics zones (such as tourism, livestock, etc). And I could go on and on about what went wrong, and trust me, there's enooooough post about what went wrong, so let's move on and go back to my trip.

As you might have guessed already, yes, my trip is to emigrate, specifically Buenos Aires, Argentina; why there? Well, my boyfriend's sister lives there since... I really got no idea, 3 years? 4 years? anyway, he had a place to get to, so he went there and has been there since August. So yeah, of course I'd take the "opportunity of my life" (✧･ﾟ: ✧･ﾟ: ) since there's no future whatsoever in Venezuela —at least not for a while—. This doesn't means things will be easy, we already have rented an apartment so we live together and we start working our ass off.

The trip will be complicated, I first need to get outta Venezuela, and sadly I can only through road (flights are a mess, there aren't enough planes working! Only 35 in the whole country), and after I've done all that (I've to go trought half of the country, basically, and believe it or not, the richest country in oil in the world has now oil shortage, so it is even more complicated), I've go to Cúcuta, in Colombia, where I will take a flight to Bogotá —Colombia's capital city—, make a scale in Santiago de Chile to finally, after like, 12 hours, get the next flight to Buenos Aires.

You know, it would've been good to stay here, get to study to the best university of the country, and live under my mom's wing until i'm 25 or some leftist ideal, but —as much negative or nihilist I might be getting now—, that wasn't really possible nor will be possible now. But hey (!!!) there's a good thing —there are many good things about this, I just would rather leave more wanting it than feeling somewhat forced thanks to the situation—, I'm an artist, and you might be wondering "why the fuck is there anything special or good about that?" not much really —this is slowly turning into some kind of ramble, this is your first warming in case you didn't see it coming already— except for the fact that I can study whenever I want, and, actually, most art related professions in my field won't really ask you for an university tittle; so, this means i can work my ass off for a while without having to worry much about my "profession".

There's a general concern my mom and most adults I know have, "but you need it", and yeah, you might be right, but man I have time, and I want to focus in other stuff. I've plans, I want to do a webcomic, a want to make my own merch, hell, I'd love to try to get into Blizzard's, Marvel's or DC's studios. There's time for the University, and really? I'd rather study history of art rather than general points about art.

There are many things I've already learned by myself.

Ok, ok, I know that are you thinking; "didn't you say ✧･ﾟ: excitment✧･ﾟ: ?" yes, yes, you're right, this became a ramble quickier than what I had imagine. This is actually, a sorta introduction for less ramble-like —I hope— post's for the future. Now, lemme show you my furry ass (don't worry, not all of it is a furry ass— and no, i didn't mean literally my ass).

Hey wait! Before you turn around, it's time for me to finally tell you about me as an artist (do you want me to put the sparkles again or?). I'm a self-taught artist, and by the way, I also learned by myself english —but really, that isn't surprising, there are far more complicated languages to learn without an institution's help—. I've been taking art seriously for the past 5 years, before that, I drew just for fun (I still draw for fun, but I often end up drawing mostly for $$$ than fun nowadays— hey, people has to get food somehow, right?). After I started taking it seriously, a rapid improvement was seem in my art, which I'm indeed proud of.

Anime is a hazard for human excistence, and god, I'm glad I stopped trying to draw it.

I later got into furries and, honestly, that's where the money comes from; but hey, don't think I'm a money bitch, I'm not, the situation just makes you care somewhat more about the benefit ($) if you want to practice it more often, sadly enough. I do enjoy drawings furries though, it is just that I really would like to get into my projects rather than working constantly in commissions. We all got dreams, and I know mine will go unfulfilled for my whole life.

Long story short, I will use this site to showcase my art, probably keep rambling and maybe try to make more organized post in the future, I will also try to learn how to make a better balance between so called comedy, or whatever i tried before doing; and I will of course, just show you anything that comes to my mind when it is about art! And of course, I will blog about my trip whenever it is possible for me. I will leave links for you to follow me around below:
