excuse the poor quality photos.
this painting was a first attempt at using acrylics to glaze... womething which i found difficult. but here are a few process shots. i always identified with rolly pollys (the common woodlouse). and i liked the idea of transposing one into a larger cosmic context. i used to catch them and bring them to my garden because they would out compete earwigs for the same nutrients... and well, i would always rather see a cute rolly polly over an ear wig!!!
