Eight New Digital Artworks made with Paintstorm Studio

in art •  6 years ago

Dear friends,

a few days ago I stumbled upon this post by @stahlberg about a new cheap digital drawing software called Paintstorm Studio.

It's about 20$ for the lifetime license, but you can also download a free trial. Just keep in mind, that you can't save or export your work in the trial version, which was a bit annoying for me at first.

On the other hand, the images of the paid version save as layered photoshop files, so if you can work with psd-files, you will have a lot of possibilities to further process and finetune your works right into Photoshop or Gimp.

Here are some of the first works, I did using Paintstorm Studio.

Enjoy!

I also tested out dLive-streaming a few days ago, so I consider doing a live drawing session soon. Stay tuned!

Thanks for watching!

Sort Order:

The magenta odalisque, but they work great as a series (the last one is the weakest I think :)

Edit: Maybe I should try to check out the software... but on the other hand I am not even started on DADA.

Hehe, I always have to duck-duck go your comments (didn't know, what an odalisque is).

I have made the experience, that using new software can be very inspiring, because you break out of your usual habits. Dada is very interesting because of the visual communication with other artists, which I haven't experienced before. That said, if you feel like getting some new impulses, you can choose heading eiter ways.

It is good to try out different tools - I am good at Krita now and treats it like any other drawing utensil. I think that DADA could be interesting.

Would love to see you at Dada. I remember, that @reinhard-schmid had some problems using the platform at first. As far as I remember, he had to use the Chrome-browser to be able to participate.

I already have an account and I think I made it work, but then life returned and I forgot .

followed by #1 & #2

Super results if it is indeed an inexpensive software, but that surely only happens if it is in the right hands ;-)

Thanks @roused! I'm still trying to figure out, how it all works, but it's inspiring to play around with new tools.

This is my favourite!

Thanks for letting me know :-)

I so appreciate the color and abstract quality to your art. Thanks for sharing and explaining the processes involved @shortcut
