It was time to come back to my favorite pencils and what's better than a sweet woodpecket to sketch? You have to know that my "relationship" with the woodpecker started in a scary way. When I was a child there was a stuffed woodpecker in the livingroom of my home and I used to give it some caresses thinking (I was really a little child ^_^) he was sleeping. One day, while I was caressing that bird, I watched a lot of insects on it and on my little hand too. I was really scared! Since that moments I feel myself a bit scared by every stuffed animals, but I like woodpeckers and so here I am!
The woodpecker of my childhood was green, but I like every kind of birds and, sure, every kind of woodpecker.
I took a couple of pics of the process to, just to show you a bit of "behind the scenes":
After those first steps, I just add the branch with the red berries ^_^
I hope you like it, even if it's just a simple sketch!
