Wife-life series: "I told you so"^_^

In these days, as I wrote in some of my previous contents, I'm creating  new tiny wooden pieces. Some new freaky houses and some tiny sculptures in form of animal that I'm creating using pieces of an old broomstick (you can see the first f the series here).

As you can understand, I'm using some different tools to sculpt the wood, from saws to scalpels and chisels. For the tiny animals (just 4 centimeters/1,5 inches) I'm using also a little knife, as the same way the old people here used to sculpt wooden little things many years ago.

I admit that while I'm working I don't pay too much attention and so I used the little knife without protection for my hands.

Today my hubby looked at me while I was using the knife on the wood without protections and so he alerted me:

- You have to use the work gloves, because that knife is very sharf!

I replied to him: - Don't worry, I prefer to work without gloves because so I can "feel" the piece!

Afert his alert, he had to run to his art class because the it as the time to teach to his students, so I continued to work with the knife in the kitchen.

Ok, I used the knife just to put away the most part of the piece of wood (it was a soft wood) to give it the form and  before to use the my rotaly tool (a Dremel). I felt myself like a carpenter and I was sure nothing will happen to my hands even if I was not wearing the gloves!

Sure!

After few minutes my finger was full of blood. The knife was really sharf! I immediatly cover the finger with a scratch of kitchen paper and my colorful tapes. Fortunately my hubby was in the lab with his students so nobody could say to me "I told you so!".

I continued the work because few drops of blood couldn't stop to me. I'm a brave woman! Fortunately all the blood was just on my finger and not on the piece of wood, so the artwork was safe.

I thought that I could not say about what happened to my hubby (I hate when someone say me "I told you so!") and I worked in quiet using just the rotary tool, in safety ^_^

Sure, just a little detail...

Maybe my hubby wouldn't know what happened if I removed the colorful bandage from my finger, but

"I told you so!" ^_^

Well, it's time for pajama and sofa here! See ya soon

So sorry about your wound, sometimes it happens especially when you try to be little bit fast so as to hasten up and finish up on time.
I like the creative things you bring in here and I must say Kudos to you my friend.

Thanks so much, dear friend! Yes, sometimes it happens when we try to be fast working on something ^_^

Of course you hate it when somebody tells you "I told you so!". It is supposed to be the women who says that.

And: be more careful. Still, a sharp knife is often safer to work with, as you don't have to use as much force as you would with a blunt knife.
