Sisters Art Lab - monthlong challenge - March - Impressionism - Vincent van Gogh - Landscapes
I just realised I forgot to post the challenge and have already posted my entry
So here is the challenge post.
This month of March we dedicate to :
Vincent Willem Van Gogh (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. We celebrate his 165th birthday this month.
For the third week of March we want to study his landscape paintings.
Van Gogh loved the vibrant colours of the landscape in the south of France. He was a master at capturing the sunlight and the colours of the summer. Maybe because he grew up in the cold Netherlands he was fascinated with the mediterranean light and you can feel the warmth in a lot of his paintings.
One of his most famous ones though is the starry night.
As usual we would love to see your participation in the comments!
Stay creative!
