“...I don't just wish you rain, Beloved - I wish you the beauty of storms...”

I used to be a city person who was not always thrilled when a rainy day messed up my plans. Now that I live out in the country, I'm acutely aware of the amount of rainfall because our pond shrinks and the garden needs watering. For a while, our area seemed to be in a bit of a drought but this year has been much better. Now I get excited when I see a chance of rain in the forecast.

This digital collage was created using a photo that I took of my neighbor's field with a lone tree and the grass turning brown from lack of rain. I found this lovely vintage bathing beauty in some royalty free photos along with some butterflies that I had.
As usual, it was created using an app called Procreate for iPad in which I could layer the elements. After saving the final picture, I added a filter to it using my old standby, DistressedFX app.

Here is a video of the process.

That's so beautiful, it reminds me a bit of something you might see on the cover of an old novel like an Enid Blyton or something. Lovely :)
