From photo to painting - show and tell

in art •  7 years ago

I thought I'd share some of the artwork I have done with the corresponding reference photograph so you can judge for yourself and comment if you wish (nice/constructive please - no nasties on here).
The reason I thought of doing this is that I have spent all day - and I mean all day - photographing and cataloguing my artwork. I didn't realise I had done so much.

So here goes. Each piece will have a comment of original idea etc. See what you think.

Painting - Watercolour - My own version

I could list loads more but my point here is to show how I transfer pictures to painting. I'm not a realism painter - I'm not that skilled (yet), but impressionist painting works for me.

Hope you liked the pictures at least

Oh and a cool trick to resize your pictures on here look at this by @aology
this trick still works! And it kicks the ass off having to go do it elsewhere before posting. I dropped an image in the text editor and it came up as "https://steemitimages.com/..." followed by a lot of other random crap and then the name of the file somewhere in there.

I simply added this before it "https://img1.steemit.com/300x800/" so that I now had "https://img1.steemit.com/300x800/https://steemitimages.com/..." and it worked!
