"The Villainous one" Story

After the first base on Mars, we colonized many more planets. Our colonies spread all across the galaxy and beyond. On the planet Freza, orbiting around Gliese 581 was found our 16th colony. For exactly 1854 earth years there was no incident, no wars, no religious outbursts, no humanitarian problems, nothing, peace and scientifical achievements. The planet was a trading center. The planet was rich in cadmium that has been used for almost every piece of technology known to man.
But then, something cataclysmic happened. Geomagnetic burst caused by the solar wind, so strong that it went thru the magnetic field of Freza like a hot knife thru butter. This was an end of a civilization, Nothing remained. Through the next couple of thousand years, the people there forgot everything. Everything except the memory of the power that can destroy a civilization.
The world looked like our own in the medieval ages. Kingdoms and empires, emperors and kings, queens, princes and princesses, religions and wars. Humans with power fighting for more power.
There was a kingdom named Herania, the king of Herania was a young man, his father gave him the throne a couple of years in the past. The new king's name was Sepron.
Sepron was educated man, with an eye for politics and strategy. He had a daughter, pretty girl... Selene was her name, named after her mother that died while giving a birth to the child. Sepron never talked with his daughter about her mother. Something was off. Only Selene, his generals, and his personal guard were noticing weird behavior.
The kingdom was at war for 70 years, fighting over the islands on the north of their border with the kingdom of Berhonia. The Berhonian king had a daughter too. 4 years old. No one knew what she looked like. The spies of Sepron could not find anything about her. Not even her name.
Sepron's decisions on the battlefield were flawless. Every movement of forces was calculated, to reduce the loss of soldiers to the minimum. He loved his soldiers, He knew that the soldiers and the craftsmen are holding and building the kingdom. But after the death of his queen, he was losing his sharpness and objective thought. This happened just a couple of times for 4 years. More accurately 3 times.
There were another kingdom sharing borders with both the kingdom of Sepron and Berhonia. Egrania was keeping its neutrality. The Egranians were focused on trade. The lands of the kingdom were rich, the crops were growing like nowhere else. They were trading with everyone caring not about wars and pacts. The Erganian king, Feros was old and wise, he had a son, a prince. His name was Jeron. He had a passion for the war, spending all day reading the journals about the battles that the neighbor kingdoms were involved in. Studying tactics, strategy, and battle logistics. His father wanted to keep the peace in his kingdom, trying to teach his son how to keep it since his birth. But the passion of Jeron was stronger.
Everyone knew that Feros is sick. His son would get on the throne soon. And he was going to need a queen eventually.
Sepron knew about the Jeron's thirst for war. He was thinking of a way to get the Erganian kingdom on his side in the conflict.
Soon There were letters sent from king Feros to Sepron and to the king of Berhonia. An announcement that the Prince of Ergania had to become a king and every king needs a queen.
Sepron came up with a plan how to involve the Kingdom of Ergania in his war. He had to kill the princess of Berhonia. This was the only way form a pact with the Erganians and to ensure his victory.
Sepron called every man capable of such thing.
They all were told that they were going to sure death. But only one had to be chosen. There were all kinds of people gathered in the throne room. But one was standing forward. One of his lords, a tall and gaunt man, with no family or heirs. He was leading the sabre that won every battle that was into.
Sepron called him by his name, Vossian. Vossian took a knee. The king did a gesture for everyone to leave the throne room. He was looking at Vossian, then asked him, if he knows why he was called to meet him. Vossian shook his head, Then said that he does not know, but if he is called to meet the king personally, it should be the most important thing of his life. Sepron smiled and said to him that he is going to win the war with just one person killed. Vossian smiled too, he said that its an honor for him to do that. To be the man that will end this war.
Then the king and one of the generals explained to him the plan.
Vossian had to infiltrate and kill the princess of Berhonia.
Vossian knew that he was going to die after, or even before that. But the fact that he was going to end a war that cost the lives of so many people, he could not refuse.
So he had a mission of his life. He had to end a war. To kill a girl, and that's it. Nothing more.
He traveled 2 months on foot, dressed like a monk. Reached out Geponeria, the capitаl of Berhonia. The gigantic walls around the city were all black, build from a rock that the local people called sun- mirror rock cause it was getting really hot through the day.
There were almost no man older than 15 in the city, and Vossian knew exactly why. they were on the battlefield. Fighting in a war that he was going to end tomorrow.
The night was cold. Vossian was walking around the castle, watching the movement of the guards, writing down everything. There was going to be a celebration of the birthday of the princess. the folks were going to see their princes for the first... And the last time.
Everyone was in rush, to prepare for the event. Merchants from close and far were gathering in the city squares. Everything was colorful and sparking of life. He was going to change that...
The evening was even colder than the last one. Vossian managed to kill one of the royal guards and to take his uniform and to hide the body. The guard was taller than him but he didn't care.
He approached one of the other guards that were patrolling on the central square in front the castle and said to him that him that he was feeling sick, and where he could find a place to take a nap. The guard laughed and pointed the castle, told him that there was a backdoor exit used by the cooks that were serving there to get their kitchen stuff In.
He went in quickly, with no hesitation. The guards in the castle were wearing different uniforms. He found the rooms where are the dressing rooms and changed his uniform. By mistake, he got in the throne room. No one noticed him. The room was full of people, and noise, people yelling and clapping with the music. He was thinking that this could not be any easier while smiling. He was walking slowly, trying to not cross looks with anyone while looking for a hint how to find the princess.
Behind the throne room, he found stairs leading to the upper floor. The corridor was wide, with many doors and paintings that he could barely see cause the lighting was poor.
One of the doors was covered with drawings of flowers. Vossian took a deep breath... This was it. There was no turning back. When he opened the door he saw two identical girls. He opened his dry lips. Twins, he said. The girls turned and smiled to him. They were playing with coloufully painted dolls. He walked into the room pulling out the sword from the sheet. The girls were looking at him. their faces froze. His eyes were widely opened, he took one more step and the kids started screaming. He was cold, cold as his blade. With two quick swings, he slit the throats of the two girls wide open. Right after that, the royal guards stormed the room. One of the guards stabbed him through the shoulder. Vossian fell. One of the guards was screaming at his face, asking him who is he, and who sent him, who is he serving. Vossian did not open his mouth. Seconds later the king entered the room. The guards stood still. The King's face was covered with beard, his whole body was shaking. He took a knee next to Vossian and put his fingers into the wound, twisting. Vossian did not flinch, not a single twitch on his face. No sign of feeling pain. The king stood up and said something to the officer that stabbed the lord. Then one of the soldiers ran out and a moment later he returned with a man, dressed in a white robe. He observed the situation, then looked at the king and nodded. One of the guards hit Vossian in the face with his gauntlet dropping him unconscious.
Vossian woke up, he could not move his body, his face was covered by his blood. He was in a room with no windows, The light from the candles placed on every corner was revealing that the room was small, the walls were covered with shelves, in the middle of the room he saw two tables with tools. Everything was clean, even cleaner than the rooms in the castle. The ceiling was low, and he was hanging on his wrists, naked. Chained to it.
The man in the white robe opened the door slowly, with no noise. He was looking at Vossian, smiling while walking slowly in the room. After a while, he told him that he chose the right time to kill the daughters of the king. Because now he could test his new discoveries on him. Then he took a small and really sharp looking knife off the table. And cut a little piece of skin from Vossian's face. Then he introduced himself as Cuemtin, torturer of the Inquisition. Right after that, he said that he is not going to make him talk. He does not care who sent him to kill the princesses. He is going to create a weapon of revenge out of him. He is going to craft a blade out of him through the pain.
After that, he left the room. Leaving Vossian alone. His body was hooked up thru the skin to a couple of planks that were holding him still. The hooks were clean too, so there would be no infections.
The next morning Cuemtin opened the door, bringing 3 kids in white robes with him, two girls and one boy. They stood next to the door, staring at Vossian. and When the man grabbed the small knife from the table, the kids started chanting.
For every cut the Cuemtin was doing on Vossian's body the kids were repeating the same words "Kill your masters".
After one week Vossian had no skin left on his body. Every day the man was bringing more kids in the room to with him to chant the same words. This was not the first time that the man was doing that, he was replacing bones and tendons without killing him.
King Sepron married his daughter for prince Jeron. Soon after that, the king of Ergania died. and Jeron took the throne.
Right after that he reinforced the army of Sepron and together they crushed the opposition of Berhonia and pushed their forces out of the north islands. The Berhonian king proclaimed that he wanted to make a peace agreement with Sepron and Jeron. They agreed. But The Berhinins had to give away parts of their land in return for that peace.
Years passed. The smell of war was almost forgotten.
One night king Sepron heard screams from the throne room. When he went there. He saw the bodies of the guards that were on post cleaved almost in half. The floor was covered with blood and huts.
Then a whisper echoed through the stone walls. Kill your masters.
A figure moved away from one of the columns, revealing itself.
Kill your masters

Grand story, simply enchanting, though in need of some editing. This could become a great book and movie. Weldone @svdsdragunov.

Yeah, I need to learn how to create spirit around my characters and how to maintain it. Thank you!
Cheers!

Awesome art and read my friend. I really enjoy this story, though it leads one to wonder, who exactly is the villain here? Is it the king who sends his knight to kill an innocent little girl? Is it the man in the white robe who turns our knight into the monster we see here? Or is it the knight himself, who on both sides of the tale is doing what he is instructed?

I think this turned out terrifically, and I appreciate your efforts in putting it out there! Keep up the good work!!

Thanks!
There are no good guys here i wanted to show that in war, there are no rules, just leaders who flex their power in order to get more power, everyone in the ladder are doing that. The man in white tortures a man just because he can and he enjoys it. The Kings that know what will happen but still take the decisions that they take. And the result is always unpredictable. Even those with power can't fully control the outcome of their decisions. It happens with everyone that tries to control every situation and rely on the best result. What do you think of the writing style?
Cheers!
