Hey Steemit!
We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!
So I've been sharing about my first time doing a subathon on Twitch since I've been streaming there for a while now and wanted to do something special for September since Twitch has a promotion on subscriptions the whole month. So I tried my hand at doing a charity subathon, which is a type of livestream where every time a streamer receives a subscription, more time is added to a descending timer with various rewards after a certain number of subs.
Anyway, the main impetus behind this was I just wanted to make a graffiti wall with the names of all those who contributed and that's exactly what I ended up doing!
As a reward, I also did lots of art and drew stickers for all those who contributed 5 subs or more. I obviously didn't expect people to drop that many but I was very wrong. The response was astounding and I ended up amassing quite a bit of art debt but it was fun trying to draw stickers and they came out really well so I thought I'd share them!
Apart from chibi head stickers I also wanted to add special icons beside the names of those who contributed significantly. The idea I had was to ask those people for their favourite emotes on Twitch and I would draw them into stickers and stick them beside their names on the graffiti wall! I thought it was a good way to fill up the little empty spaces on the wall too.
Anyway, now that I've shared the chibi head stickers I did for chai and Rakun, I thought I'd share the emote ones I did for them too!
So for chai I thought I'd do 2 for him since he did contribute the most on top of a tier 3 subscription too, this crazy guy. He told me he liked the smug cat emote which looks like this:

Initially I thought of changing the colour of the cat but then figured I should just go with the original colours so they would be more recognisable. Here's the outline I did:
Then I coloured in the eyes and the base coat with some highlights and shadows:
before finally adding in more highlights for the white parts of the fur. The original was a lot whiter than I thought but I wanted more contrast so I limited the whiteness and it turned out okay.
The second emote chai wanted was this one called pepePoint that looks like this:
It's a little cursed but I figured that he'd choose a cursed one. For this one I wasn't going to make an animation since it's supposed to be a sticker after all.
I drew the outline:
Then coloured it, adding some highlights:
and finally with some shadows and more highlights:
For Rakun, he wanted this emote called GivePLZ which looks like this:

It's actually really cute and I don't see this used often in my chat but he likes it so I drew it, starting with the outline of course.
The eyes were a little tricky but I tried to make it as accurate as possible, with the gradient and everything. I didn't add in the red touches because I thought it looked a little creepy with the red eyes. I did add a shine on the stars though and in the end we get this which I thought was really clean and perfect.
Overall I thought the stickers looked really good and they actually didn't take much time at all. Here's the timelapse:

I really enjoyed doing these stickers and was more than glad to do them for all those contributed! There's a lot more to go so I'll be sharing them over the next few posts!
Thanks so much for reading!
