Monochrome - Fine Art Photo

What is your process for creating a Fine Art photograph?

Do you set out to capture images with a concept in mind that you can then work over in Lightroom to generate something that pleases you?

Or do you just capture as you go about your daily life?

I am torn between these two approaches. I admire those who can go from concept to finished product using basic or advanced compositing.

For me I tend mostly to go for a found approach with minimal processing. I trust to nature and the "good-eye". I also like things that are simple.

I suppose that's why I have few greats in my portfolio.

So my challenge for this year's art is to prepare concepts and take them through to final artwork.

This would be my catalogue number 2018-001.
