Il telaio che utilizzano le artigiane è di tipo verticale, si ipotizza di derivazione greca. Le stuoie che vengono prodotte sono a doppia faccia dove i due lati sono identici ma opposti.

Despite the passage of time and despite the market for this type of products is not flourishing this important tradition seems to resist. In the town (Nule) there are still many artisans dedicated to this work. Some also try to introduce some new compositional, technical, or other, sometimes to overcome the problems of the market, sometimes for pure artistic taste and to reinterpret the legacy of this past in more contemporary optics.
Nonostante il passare del tempo e nonostante il mercato per questo tipo di prodotti non sia florido questa importante tradizione sembra resistere. In paese si contano ancora tante artigiane dedite a questo lavoro. Alcune cercano anche di introdurre qualche novità compositiva, tecnica, o di altro genere talvolta per ovviare alle problematiche del mercato, talvolta per puro gusto artistico e per reinterpretare l'eredità di questo passato in ottiche più contemporanee.

Poco da fare, l'artigianato sta morendo ma esso da enormi soddisfazioni e credo che a livello qualitativo non ci sia paragone con l'industria manifatturiera attuale.
