Welcome Steemians Creative,

While every artist always seeks inspiration from other artists this is no exception, so I decided to start a series of "Inspiration Artist" to share with you all those artists that move me and inspire me every day to be better, motivating me day after day with its beautiful illustrations.

Who's Naranjalidad?

Behind this pseudonym is the charming Beatriz Ramo, currently 27 years old architect and illustrator from Alicante, who lives in Madrid. From a very young age she was influenced by the steps of her brother, who began to have an affinity for drawing, thus ending up submerging in the art world at an early age.

"Since I was a girl I remember with a pencil in my hands, but when I got to university I had to put my passion aside. Little by little I began to draw again to disconnect from the studies, and what started as a hobby is becoming my favorite moment of the day. So it is now, that I am doing the final project, when I have retaken the drawing with more desire than ever and has been born "Naranjalidad". "

Comment the illustrator in a interview made by ITFASHION magazine in 2014 .

Why Naranjalidad?

The Alicante took its artistic name from the lines of a book by Woody Allen, reading Pure Anarchy.

"The orange juice is the very essence of the orange revealed, and by this I mean the authentic nature and what it confers its" orangery "and prevents it from presenting a taste like, for example, smoked salmon or corn grits ".

"It's a very bombastic way of talking about the essence of things and I loved it," says the illustrator in a cafe in Madrid with a coffee in her hands.

The word orangery (Naranjalidad) seized her attention and went to look for it. I was not in Google. It was an unknown term and she appropriated it. "I already have an artistic name," she told herself.

Art & Style

Her art is characterized by mostly hyperrealist portraits mixed with contemporary fashion, creating at the same time atmospheres of nature, with the application of many colors, light surreal touches and vegetal textures that complete the soul of the characters.

The Naranjalidad style, in addition to mixing the hyperrealist drawing in pencil with watercolor color notes, is often accompanied by a very feminine aesthetic and an almost constant presence of floral, natural and mystical symbols. Color is always a metaphor in the work of this artist, symbolizing the new life that breaks through the gray past.
