Part of the reason my Instagram grew from 400 to 6,000 in a year or so --- is a relationship I developed with the inimitable Amanda Palmer
it all started with this simple drawing which we adapted into a holiday card that was signed and given away to folks who ordered the paperback of her book
...which lead to some more portraiture
including this Art Deco piece based on the photo for her "machete" single
And a burlesque "Birth of Venus".
You have to understand that Amanda Palmer has one of the most loyal and active fan-bases on the planet. They follow her across a plethora of Social Media --- and a few lucky artists (like myself) can occasionally find themselves swept along.
...although, unfortunately I was never able to actually illustrate a story for EC Comics featuring a Zombie Neil Gaiman ... but it would have been cool.
