One day snow, the next - springtime. The weird weather fooled this plant and made it blossom. It grabbed my attention, especially because it was the only blossom on the otherwise bare branch. An early bloomer, for sure. :)
I've used very shallow depth of field to separate the white flower from the background. The top angle produced an interesting background that works really well composition-wise. Because of that, I also got that beautiful circle. It somehow marks the flower and adds more importance to it. Thought it might work well, and it does.
You probably immediately noticed the low contrast that reduces the dynamics, softens the image and creates a very tender vibe. This technique is quite rarely used these days, as photographers tend to search for that perfect contrast range. Most forget that everything may, and should be, used as means of expression. The pink accent, complemented by green, attracts the attention and adds quite a bit of life.
Even though the flowers are exhibits of the perfection of nature, I don't photograph them very often.
Just What Is a 'Minja' Anyway?

Well. Two elephants were heading home, back to the ridge after a good day of solid gluttony. They had pulled up a couple of smaller trees for the good stuff, upset several ant hills along the way, though, bless them, they did try so very hard to walk softly. And they had eaten more grass than they had eaten yesterday, and that day more than the last, and even that day more than the one before it. It wasn’t a thing of pride, or even of hunger.
Wow Nice
