Nesting - 3rd Art-Trail Contest entry

 I made this piece in 2013, it's 16x20", Acrylic on canvas, called Nesting. It is easily one of my most unsettling works.

So I have selected it for the Art Trail contest of the week. It's my first contest on Steemit to enter. You'll notice the image is a tad bigger than I usually post. Here's to many more! Yay!

I have made many many disturbing paintings since then, but none so... challenging to the onlooker. This one is more universal. For instance, I've made a couple religious parodies, such as a bottle full of Jesi, a Jesus on a Unicornus Rex with a gun, and Darwin as a sexy muscle-god flipping the bird at earth from a cloud. The second one gets a lot of flack from the alt right, because they take offense to their saviour looking badass. I also once painted a cupid drinking and chain-smoking. The only person disturbed by it is the person who inspired it. A member of 'The Secret' cult. Because she truly believes that all of her wishes will come true because she thinks positively and is an Aries.  

I will rant about the Secret in another post. It won't be the first time, it won't be the last.
