Here is my latest addition to the beach bums series.
I was wanting to try a new style, and had seen a few artists making beautiful artworks with a ink pen and dots, lots of dots.
So after a quick sketch
I started with the dots. After completing a thigh I started to think that this was a really really stupid idea, who in their right mind would create a picture by dotting the page a hundred million times?
I wasn't even sure this was going to look good, but I kept on dotting.
I'm shocked at the end result, it actually looks really good, so good in fact I'm considering doing it all over again.
I was wanting to put this illustration in my online Society6 shop #linesdotssquiggles (a great place for artist to sell designs on art prints and other merchandise). But it needed some colour, so I uploaded the design on to Gimp 2.8 and played around with the colours. Here's the end result
I love it, it reminds me of summer 🌞
