Logo design (Process) Part II.

in artzone •  6 years ago

Continuing with "Logo Design", for the following exercise for the class was to make typographies, to create them and how to design them according to the isotype that is made.

This is the final result of the exercise but then I will show you the beginning and how the rest of the subject was developed.

For the first exercise, they assigned us a typography (it is the technique and the art, in the handling and selection of types to create print jobs) in specific to each one of those who attended the course, for my part I play " Futura ", I could make other typography designs and I chose to make" Futura Black ", which is the one we see below. One of the obstacles was to measure the page and they would fit all the letters, as well as the numbers, in the end, I could do it. The reason for the exercise, was to put practice of the typography theory, as well as to know how to measure them, have a certain technique makes letters, according to their size, both long and wide, to design it on our own.

The following exercise was to design 10 letters of our invention taking into account isotype designs that we had done before, for my part, the first letters I made were quite insipid and not very dynamic but when turning the page, I was woken up the flame of creativity, so I started to draw letters a little inclined, with openings, long, experimenting with the range of possibilities that I offered at the time when designing them, I did not manage to make the 10 letters, however, the teacher told me not to It was so necessary after all, that it was fine as I was doing, that I left only 9, I took the floor and here are the 9 letters that I designed in that class.

Finishing the typography exercise, the teacher for the next task was to choose 3 designs of those 10 that we had to do, those 3 do it well measured on the page, delineate them with black and be very neat and calculated the delineated, as well as the measurements of the thickness of the letter, the space between each of them, I had an error in the first one above, which I realized, sometime later.

The last exercise of typography was to make an alphabet, designed by oneself, choosing one of the letters that we had already passed to clean, that is, we had measured, drawn and outlined with black, I chose one of my designs that I thought I could get comfortably an alphabet, which was really very easy.

Awsome!!

Thank you so much

Wow, such typography design is a creativity genre of its own kind, isnt it? Very cool, @roveana :) Certain fonts convey different feels and I think each of the ones you designed here are very interesting :)

Yes, thank you, it was a very fun exercise, I felt stressed because I felt they were not well but happily they were not so bad, thanks for your comment @veryspider
