Welcome to tonight's video! We are taking a look at Arweave ICO. While this is currently still in the ICO phase, Arweave is making a splash in the space.
The focus of this project is permanently storing data on the blockchain & doing so by using their proof of access model. And while yes there quite a bit of competition in the decentralized data storage space I think it is well warranted.
Today's ICO review is a fairly broad overview of the ins and outs of the Arweave. Not only are they working on a handful of issues within the storage sector they are also working on preventing censorship and archiving parts of the internet so that anyone has access to them at any time.
The team is young and fairly small but they have a good backing from their advisors and graduated from a TechStars incubator which in my opinion does hold some weight.
