In a great piece of news in Thailand a highly-respected doctor from one of the most prestigeous hospitals in Thailand called on the people of Thailand to be nicer to one another.

This isn't just a feel good story about a nice man who happens to be very intelligent though, it is also the reason why he is saying it that is a bit depressing.

There are reports of people who have caught Covid and recovered from it being discriminated against by employers who refuse to let them come back to work, by friends who will not let them come around, and even by family members. Dr. Manoon has attempted to explain to the Thai people that it is impossible for someone who has contracted Covid-19 and recovered to pass it on to other people after 3 weeks.

I have no idea if that is true or not but I do like his overall message. People just generally speaking should be nicer to one another overall; not just in relation to Covid, but in regards to everything.

The doctor, who just became one of my favorite people in the world had this to say in regards to the discrimination against those who have caught Covid.

They deserve to live like everyone else. We should be reminded to always have mercy on your fellow human beings,”

He just has a kind face as well :)

The last part of his message was a bit ominous though and something that I have been saying and thinking for a long time. While I don't recall the exact quote he basically said that "everyone is eventually going to catch Covid" whether they have been vaccinated or not. We cannot live in a state of fear forever. We have to learn to live with it.
