If you had enough wealth what would you do?

And how much is enough?

Some people want wealth so they never have to work again, I want wealth so I can start working. If I had the money I would start a biotech research company focused on bioinformatics, proteomics, and curing cancer, dementia, alzheimers, and etc.
I would need at least billions of dollars to fund what I have in mind. I stopped pursuing a career in science when I realised I could not do what I wanted within the current system of science institutions. The text books were full of holes due to no research being done. Real scientific progress could only be carried out by the special select few with access to funds resources etc. It was always about money/funding/profit. Just like everything else.

I gave up on my dream a long time ago, and because I couldn't do what I wanted I chose to do everything else. The dream still lays dormant in the back of my mind, and I'm always looking for possible paths to get there. A path is laid by placing one stone at a time. I just need to create a multi-billion/trillion dollar business, and seed those funds to buy those cures. I've chased many get rich quick schemes in my life and had fun all the way. Money never really meant that much to me because it was never enough. Just an obstacle in my path. Something to be destroyed or replaced. I'm hoping cryptocurrency is the right move, to replace money as well as being my succesful get rich quick scheme to be used to create that multi-billion dollar business that funds a very non-profitable biotech research company that goes to war with our biological ignorance. But that would only be the beginning.

So Steemit, If you had enough wealth what would you do?

I'm interested to hear what your jam is.

Buy a small hobby farm and have a milk cow or 2, some bee hives, chickens, a green house, fruit and nut trees, berries, and a large garden. I'd make yogurt, cheese, honey, sell my produce and honey at the local farmers market. In the winter I'd paint...🌱

Sounds like a dream! I've recently got into growing my own veg. I'd love to reach full sustainability one day.

I'd travel across the United States in an RV stopping wherever I like, for as long as I like. Always moving and exploring. I'd probably have a business I was running from the RV.

Ocassionally I would pack the RV away and travel to destinations that are host to uncommon experiences.

Drinking tour of the US. Bourbon in Kentucky, Whiskey in Tennessee, a Long Island Iced Tea on Long Island, a Manhattan in Manhattan. You get the idea :)

An RV sounds like a great idea. I love travelling but I also love having a nest to retire to. I've never been to the USA but always wanted to explore it (it seems like such a weird place), but I'm too afraid of being harassed by the TSA to travel anytime soon.

A few acres of fishing land, just want to be left alone.

Buy all the STEEM! I consider STEEM is a great investment because 1. the site is growing and 2. STEEM has a very low transaction time, increasing its utility and making it easier to trade in real time.

Probably the same. But with reconnecting to hunting and gathering. Most diseases has a simple solution anyway. Food.

I cut anything with refined sugar out of my diet a few years ago. I've had lots of enery since then and just felt much better. I do still eat things with refined sugar, but that is when binging chocolate, cake, or sweets and when after consuming marijuana which helps balance blood sugar levels :D

Hello, friend @riskdebonair! Thanks for this post - it resonates strongly with me!

I'm an inventor with a list of inventions as long as my arm, all on the back burner due to the lack of "living capital." If I did not have to worry about "paying the bills," I would also be working full-time developing my inventions and seeking to introduce them, to the benefit of mankind.

I'm presently struggling with an invention (in the realm of health enhancement) that I have fully developed, but (not being much of a stud when it comes to marketing) I'm having trouble getting it into the hands of those who really need it, thus not generating enough cashflow. If you happen to know of anyone who needs what I have to offer, or who might be interested in helping promote it for mutual profit, let me know?

I truly wish you success in the direction you wish to head. For most of my life, my perception has been that the world is severely out of kilter in this very thing - that the people with great motivations and good ideas are not the people with the means to work on and deliver them.

And so, my friend, don't let your dream go... While there is life, there is hope! And, Thank You for a great post that has "gotten my juices flowing" this evening! :D

😄😇😄

@creatr

Thanks! I look forward to a world with universal basic income. So much potential will be activated. I think humanity is going to start flying soon :D

The silver proton looks really cool. I am not familiar with the laws in the USA, but I think it would work well to get your device used in a research study using placebo and the silver proton with a large enough sample size to show correlation; approach biochemistry science or sports science lecturers or students at a university, or a research lab, or do it yourself (but be sure to follow ethic laws if they exist). If the silver proton is used in a study, peer reviewed, and shown to be effective it would give you a huge advantage over the competition. Mega rep and consumer confidence.

Being on radio is always good to hit up. Aim for early morning rush hour show to catch everyone listening to the radio on their way to work. Lots of these shows are always looking for interesting things to talk about.

Infographs are always a great idea also for spreading around online.

Great invention! I hope it makes it out there.

Greetings, @riskdebonair,

Thank you very much for looking at the proton and taking the time to provide all these kind and thoughtful recommendations. I really appreciate it!

And so, what is the next step for you, my friend? Do you hold enough crypto to perhaps eventually realize some of your dreams, if the value of your holdings rises dramatically (as I believe inevitable)?

Do you have any other ideas, or a "fallback" position, or ways to profitably occupy your time in the meanwhile? :D

Best wishes!

P.S. It seems a reasonable UBI might eventually be implemented peacefully and cooperatively via cryptocurrencies such as VIVA... :D That would be awesome! :D

My crypto-buys are looking positive but I like to be conservative with my guesstimations. I'm just semi-retired at the moment, taking time out to repair and strengthen my body. Yoga has almost completly fixed me up and made me way stronger :D

I'm currently just working on skills like gardening, growing fruit and veg, pursuing self-sustainability, chasing up projects, imagining potential projects, and just taking it real easy. Thinking things through. Blockchain technology has disrupted my life :D
