From a bird's eye view, are they treated the same on Steemit?
If you post in a community, does it appear the same in the feeds of others as if it wasn't posted to a community? If not, does it tend to be more prominently displayed in feeds for members of that community, especially if they follow you?
This assumes that the person curating is simply in their normal feed and not browsing within the specific community.
I'm asking because I can't tell if posting to a community to help with exposure and new contacts within is outweighed by not posting to my Blog where others may potentially be searching more often/it's more visible.
Not many of my contacts are on Steem these days, so I'm trying to think about how to make up for that and reach new people.
Thanks for any input,
@steemmatt
It's also confusing to me and I so far resteemed everything that I post in a community so it shows on my main blog page.I simply also like to have one page where everything goes. The entire system currently is quite annoying

Thanks for the reply. Is that considered a cross-post? So confusing in general!! I hope I'm not limiting myself by having these "posts" under the communities post section and not my blog.
