Pisces is the 12th and final sign of the Zodiac, and like Aries which follows it, Pisces' energy is unique. Aries begins a new cycle of learning and experience. Every year, when the Sun enters that sign and Spring arrives once more, life somehow begins anew -- for everyone. Aries is about initiative, new beginning, pioneering efforts, challenging the unknown ... and pushing out into uncharted territory.
In Pisces, we have the other end of the spectrum. Its energy is about reflection, introspection, the assembly of wisdom ... and closure. Aries is bold and exuberant. Pisces is calm and contemplative. Aries may act without thinking things through. Pisces is wiser and more observant -- carrying the perspective and prudence of experience in what it thinks ... and what it does.
Aries, from its position as the explorer and scout may ask ... "What's life all about?" Pisces from its cosmic vantage point of prudence and sagacity asks instead ... "What does life and its experience mean?" Between one question and the other lies the entire spectrum of creative endeavor, progress and maturity.

Pisces souls are extraordinary people, often unappreciated and misunderstood for the crucial contribution they make to the reality where we all reside. In its uncorrupted state, the energy of Pisces is so gentle, non-resistant, unassertive, and pliant, other signs mistake Pisces' peaceful nature for weakness and even apathy.
It can also be easily overwhelmed by other qualities present in a Pisces personality -- making it hard to see the soft, sensitive, esoteric spirit that contains and expresses this Pisces energy.

Pisces lives in the realms where dreams are born, in the altered regions of consciousness where psychic visions, mystical revelations, artistic essence, and clairvoyant knowledge are found.
Pisces energy is the diffuse connection through which the subconscious mind, the Higher Self, and the Divine Source with all its power reach forward into the everyday lives of human beings, bringing miracles large and small to decorate the world we know.

Pisces people are the mystics, the visionaries, the artists, the dreamers, the travellers and explorers of the mind's inner landscapes, and the spiritual messengers bearing information about life's purpose and meaning. And occasionally, too, they are the madmen who may or may not turn out to be prophets.
There is a thin, thin line it seems between genius -- artistic, spiritual, and otherwise -- and psychosis. And unpolluted Pisces energy treads the boundaries of that borderland. It's an amazing balance and a great responsibility for a human vessel to carry.

Pisces people -- unless propelled into other behaviors by stronger qualities in their character -- are notoriously quiet, retiring, unassuming, and shy. But their capacity for insight, sympathetic union, compassion, and caring ... is both beyond reproach and beyond duplication.
In fact, it's astonishingly easy to overload the Pisces psyche with the burdens and debris often carried by another person's troubled soul. And thus they often have to monitor how much they offer themselves for someone else's benefit and how vulnerable they permit themselves to be.

If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.

Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.

I have always thought that Pisces are the cutes sign, they have that childish energy about them and some kind of innocent way of thinking. I agree, they sometimes do seem like they are living in a different reality.
