Astrophotography of the moon - DSLR on 6" Newtonian reflector (original work)

in astrophotography •  8 years ago  (edited)

I started the #astrophotography tag 3 weeks ago. Here are a few moon pics to populate the category.
Ok im only an amatuer at astrophotography and i realise these are slightly blurred. And i am using a tripod that is no good for the job lol.
My next investment is a better tracking EQ tripod to stop the blur.

Would like to see more of other peoples astrophotgraphy. and learn from you.
Im happy to hear any advice or critism of my pics

6" newtonian reflector, Canon EOS 1100D, hyperion 10mm modular lens with DSLR attachment.
Laptop.

That's an awesome start! I couldn't find the tag when I searched for it before posting yesterday. Love to look at some stars through that. Create an event and invite your friends for star gazing :) I'd attend

Dam thats some great shots.

Ive re-edited. forgot to put equipment details..

Sling us an upvote .... have finally got round to writing another post x

Nice shots. I spent alot of time gazing at the moon wondering what it would be like to walk its surface and gaze back at the earth. Also what the space sky would look like without all the distortion of the earth's atmosphere. Thanks.

Netflix has the amazing documentary "In The Shadow Of The Moon" right now, at least in The USA. Definitely worth checking out if you are interested in that kind of thing.

Thanks x

Me too x

nice n portable (jk)... could be interesting doing a time lapse thru a setup like this

yes i agree :-)

Not an expert on astrophotography but a bonafide moon lover....fab images and always a bonus when the craters are visible. Brilliant x
