I would never have thought of it as such, “the sky as a tourist resource" is really interesting to be able to give meaning to the universe and show it in a close and didactic way.
This concept is totally new for me, I have to admit that I hadn't heard it and from what google has told me, “There are many people who use the stars as a ‘guide’ to organize their vacation.”
In a bid to unravel the mystery, I stumbled upon this beautiful video of the island of La Palma:
Having watched this short video, I have understood everything much better, what Astrotourism can give of itself. It is impressive the game that can be taken to this resource from different sciences or pseudo-sciences; astrology, astronomy, mythology, geography, meteorology..., all these are resources with which you can articulate wonderful stories that catch the tourist.
I am a fan of the guides, of those who catch you, who tell you stories, who bring you closer to destiny from the heart rather than with your head, interpreting from sensitivity and curiosity rather than data.
I don't think that after seeing heaven as a resource someone would dare to say that "there's nothing in their village..." That I eat it!
*I was surprised to also see that this type of actions are carried out in Spain, more specifically in the Valencian Community, a great way to practice astrotourism and enjoy astronomy and the sky with Àl-lon. This company offers its services as a complementary activity in several rural houses.
