This Grand Prize was then added to by a very generous donation by @meesterboom who liked the idea of the contest and wanted to show some support, for which I am extremely grateful. This meant that the Grand Prize became 120 SBD.
The contest was based around gaining experience of trading on the altcoin markets, with no risk of financial loss while gaining this experience. I provided each of the contestants with one imaginary Bitcoin at the start of each round and also a screenshot of the top 20 volume coins on Bittrex from which to choose and invest the 1 BTC. These investments were then locked in and after three days, whoever had increased their initial investment the most would be the round winner, receiving the round prize and points towards the Championship.
This post is a Proof Of Payment post detailing all of the payments made by me to the winners of each of the twelve rounds as well as the 120 SBD Grand Prize to The Altcoin Trading Champion, @precise, whose winners banner can be seen below. :)
Congratulations once again @precise. I hope you like your banner, :)
I have no set date in mind for it's return and will have to look at other ways of structuring it in future, since this contest based around gaining experience of trading and making profits has actually cost me a little bit myself and in terms of financial investment, I have taken a loss and while I am pleased that the contest was pretty successful, it perhaps wouldn't be wise of me to invest my time and energy into something that will again be financially unsuccessful.
So if there is to be a second season, I wouldn't be able to guarantee such a large prize unless there was some sort of sponsorship. If there is anyone out there interested in sponsoring a second season of The Altcoin Trading Championship, I'd be happy to speak with you, so please feel free to get in touch with me in the comments or on steemit.chat or discord, @tonyr. :)
Wow! Congrats @precise (balato po! 😉)
And of course @tonyr for this succesful contest.
