They aren't the crimes of Christians. They're crimes of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church isn't Christian. It's a paganized corruption of the true church. That's why the Catholics have patron saints instead of household gods. It's why they worship statues. Mary is a substitute for a pagan Roman goddess.

And even if what you say is true, so what? It doesn't change the gospel or the fact that God exists, Jesus died for those who would believe, etc.,etc.
