The phenomena is clearly not exclusive to Australia. Over there, however, it seems to be somewhat in your face.
Which, come to think of it, may be a good thing as by making their vile views known these bigots make themselves open to criticism and well-deserved ridicule.
And yes, what they do likely qualifies as "hate crimes". But since I am against the very concept I am not calling for their prosecution for "hate speech" alone. All I demand is the freedom of speech for everybody - especially those who are seeking to critique this extremism.
