The public institutions that support great nation states, societies… it’s called civilization for a reason people, because we treat everyone in our civic spheres with civility, ideally. All this is under attack; “Lined up right behind education (the assault on education), there is a whole list of vulnerable institutions; health care, news media, social security, the military(?), and the legal system. In the US, they are all precariously balanced on the watershed between public collapse and private flight.”
