Do you remember your first car?

My first car was a Porsche 924s. My dad gave it to me just before he passed away:

This is a photo from one of the many car shows attended by @planetauto, and has many models of the 924 and 944, including a 911 in the background.

As you can see from this photo, all models are well loved to this day.

Although it has been many years since I owned this car, it's still one of my favourites.

I not only remember, but cant forget my first car. You could probably say it kick-started the love for JDM cars....even though it wasnt a very cool one hahahaha.

My first car was an automatic Datsun 180B in babypoo green/yellow, just like the one pictured below. It wasnt cool, but it did the job

That would be a collectors item now! Or you could slam it and put on wide arches and some Watanabe 15” wheels 😈

I did come across one recently that you might like and packing an SR20DET too. Made me consider a project car ;)

Awesome! :D

Classic JDM, love it, met a guy with a Datsun think it was a 240z running a GTR engine RB26DETT.

Wow @mrfocus - that is such a desirable car nowadays! Yours would look right at home in "Life on Mars"

I had a Ford Capri 2.0
I fitted a proper boy racer air dam and rear spoiler. Probably took 10 mph off the top speed 😂

I bet it was still pretty nifty to drive, lol!

There was a lot of tail out action...
Had a V8 swapped mk1 later on 😈

It was all about the Zakspeed - ben (I loved that car) a V8, bet that was fun to drive, the obligatory two bags of sand in the boot:)

This is it, probably some years before I had it in the 1990's.

Immense, what a weapon those arches, love it. Very Mad Max-esque.

I once travelled down the A6 between Milnthorpe and Carnforth in a 3.1 V6 Essex with Alley cats no word of a lie it was more sideways than straight.

Ben

Haha, yeah they are super light at the rear!
This one was built for drag racing in then early 70's, it was an RS shell and was modified from the word go, had a fully built Rover V8, ran a supercharger at some time in its life, plumbed for Nos when I had it, although never used it.
Mad car it was featured in Street Machine mag in the 80's
Have the mag at my fathers house in the uk. If I get the mag some time I'll make a post of it.
