Future Perfect

I've got a vision of what life could be like in 10 years:

You wake up in the morning in a home fabricated by a massive 3D printer, with integrated wiring, geothermal heat, solar energy, and a plethora of sustainable tech resulting in more energy produced by your house than it consumes. You eat a delicious breakfast prepared by a robotic chef from ingredients grown automatically in a local vertical farm, and delivered to your house by drone. You hail an automated air-taxi with brain computer interface telecommunication, and head out to meet up with some friends at a community center to work on a new idea. You won't be paid for your work. You didn't pay for your breakfast. Or your air-taxi. Or your house.

How is all this possible? Because 10 years ago you, and the rest of the world, realized an unsustainable wage based economy was destined for failure in a world of increasing automation. You organized with others to begin creating automated infrastructure to build a new world, based on access rather than ownership. A world where everyones basic needs are met, the standard of living is higher than any time in history for everyone on the planet, and every single person has access to the resources neccesary not just to survive, but to thrive.

This world is possible technologically within 10 years, with a focused effort from enough people. It is inevitable in the next 20 years even if the majority of people don't even realize that we are heading that way. Companies like Alphabet, Tesla, ABB, Boston Dynamics, and defense projects like DARPA are paving the way.

The future is bright if you help turn on the lights.
