The later rising sun was just coming up when I got back from staining a window. We didn’t see a lot of these sunrises out the window due to the big trees we used to have. Now they are gone, but we have compensation.
The way the light hit the earth objects on this Autumn Equinox morning really caught my eye.
I always paid much more attention to the Spring Equinox because there were no tree leaves to block the light. This is the first Autumn Equinox I have seen the sun rise on in over 20 years, maybe 25.
Barn shadows perfectly straight, due to being oriented east-west for tobacco drying and wanting to capture as much west wind as possible.
It’s been really cool to see this for the first time in decades.
