Spiritual awareness: Walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes, but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgment

God created the universe in harmony and when he created the first man, Adam, he gave him a very simple order, take care of creation: "And the LORD God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it" Genesis 2:15.
But as the Bible teaches, man, as a creature of God, is a free being and capable of discernment, capable of choosing between good and evil: "God in the beginning created human beings and made them subject to their own free creation" Ben Sira 15:14.
This is why the sapiential books, like the book of Ecclesiastes, take the freedom of man as the starting point of all their teachings; wisdom as the most perfect science for man does not force or demand, but rather invites, like a beautiful and devout mother invites her children, whether they are obedient or rebellious.
Because there are two paths, one of joy and happiness and another of suffering; darkness and light, knowledge and ignorance, are before the reason of man, and they must choose. This is why there is a spiritual principle that should never be forgotten: "For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction" Psalm 1:6.
This is why King Solomon, who was the wisest and most intelligent man in his time, wrote a spiritual reflection in his book Ecclesiastes: "Rejoice, O young man, while you are young, and let your heart be glad in the day of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes, but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgment" Ecclesiastes 11:9.
Wisdom calls to enjoy life, because it is brief, and joy is something beautiful, and through this gift, God also calls to spiritual awareness; because God is at the end of man's path and it is to him that men sooner or later have to be held accountable.
