Sunshowers And A Blue Gold Mine

When I got off work I popped open my weather app to see that with the heat index it was going to feel like 100 degrees outside. I'm glad the bus had AC. When I was dropped off in Stony Point it had started to rain but it was still sunny out. It was like the air had become too humid and just started to release it all without rain clouds. If it was just going to drizzle a bit I wouldn't have bothered breaking out my poncho.

Now my recurring theme on my blog is Junction R-7 but how am I going to tie in the paragraph above to my intentional community? Atmospheric Water Generation. Crazy humid days always makes me think of how much water I could pull from the air. My family for generations have been truly fortunate when it comes to access to water. My maternal grandparents were both born in Ireland which gets a good amount rain so dying of thirst wasn't too high on the list of worries. I've binged watched enough Doomsday Preppers on YouTube to know that water is a priority for survival.

Before I lay any groundwork for Junction R-7 I'm going to need access to water for consumption and construction. I've been looking at AWGs from EcoloBlue for years now and they don't just sell your typically water cooler that you'd find at work or in the kitchen. They've got some industrial sized ones that's built for what I have in mind. You want a little blue gold mine in your home then pick up one. I'm not sure how long I'll be renting from my sister but I'll be saving up for one. I've already lowered the costs of her utilities and I know I can bringing them down further. I also like have access to near boiling water in the winter because I make a lot of tea and hot chocolate. I don't like tea kettles that much.

This video isn't really about a specific generator but a station with a bunch of them.
