Connecting A Data Factory To An Existing Runtime In Azure

Check out the solution in the video Connect Azure Data Factory To Existing Runtime. As we see in the previous video, , this video assumes that we have a runtime setup on one of our servers that has been linked to a data factory. If this step is not done, we will not be able to create a link.

Once we have our runtime setup, as we see we can create the link to an existing runtime. We will want to consider how many data factories we want to share this with, as well as whether sharing this will comply with some of our other standards. For an example, we may not want our Sandbox-QA-Preproduction-Production environments to all share the same runtime and we may not want any scaled resource (like 100 data factories) to share the same runtime.
