Full body splits are efficient, effective and allow for you to take advantage of the protein synthesis process which lasts 48 hours and once it has run its course, you re-stimulate it by working those muscles again. It allows you to spread out the ideal weekly volume of 10-20 sets per muscle group on 3 training days as opposed to some splits which want you to do it all in one workout. To hit each muscle group, you by no means have to use weights, though barbells and dumbbells make it pretty easy. The left workout shows how you can break down a full body workout and hit each muscle group with your own bodyweight in a calisthenics workout though I also suggest adding some skill work at the beginning of your workout to take your strength to a different level. That workout can literally be done almost anywhere with minimal to no equipment. On the right side, there is our typical barbell bending full body workout targetting each muscle group. Notice that in both workouts, we start with our heaviest lifts and work our way down. Also notice that I added some isolation/ancillary
