EASTERN SATELLITE
Thursday and Friday there may be some hope that the warm front to the south gets by. However don't be shocked if like today it gets stuck somewhere near NYC and we sit in low clouds again all day long with winds off the water. We will compromise on the idea at this point and hope for some breaks of sunshine at least for Nassau and Western Suffolk with highs reaching into the 60s. A late shower or thunderstorm is not out of the question. Friday might provide another opportunity before a cold front moves through late in the day with a few showers or a thunderstorm and then it is on the the weekend.
The weekend does not bode well for us. The front stalls and a couple of waves of low pressure will move along it. We will gradually get into a northeast wind and a soaking rain will likely develop later Saturday and last through most of Sunday. At least that is how it looks at the moment.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
