I Have Nothing to Say... And a Free Meme

in bagblog •  6 years ago

Yesterday, I made my post declaring how hard I am going to work and post and it seems I choked myself.  This is about the third attempt I've made at writing a post...  Nothing will flow.

This picture was floating around on the Internet and it had Bitcoin on it, so I used my super, duper expert level Photoshop skills to edit it to be about Steem, but it really doesn't make any sense.  I didn't want to waste it though, so I am including it in this blog, totally for free! @whatup badart

I'd say sorry, but...  I know some of you know that every so often my posts just don't flow that well anyway, so heck..  You get another rambling blog from me.  Suck it up or move on down the Feed.  :)

This is exactly why I don't like the emphasis to be on Quality, I mean... What if I can't pump out quality stuff every day?  Do you really want to limit my engagement with the site?  Haha, I bet some of you do!  :)

crowd whispers, "we've been hoping that for 2 years."

"Well, I wanted to hang out on Steem today, but my golden tongue  (wouldn't that be fingers?) has turned to rust, so I'll just use Facebook instead.  Nah, I personally think casual communication is fine.

Maybe I should take a picture of my dinner, I know some of you really love that.

I've been thinking about the low prices in the Crypto-Markets lately and like everyone else wondering when the Bulls will be back...  Here is the thing, other than speculation I can't think of why the prices should go up right now.  Bitcoin is still slow, fat and expensive when it tries to scale.  I haven't suddenly seen a huge amount of retail outlets decide to use crypto.  Many governments are taxing the shit out of it.  For many of us in the USA it is still hard to purchase and in my state we are limited by most of the exchanges. We don't have any exciting BTC Hardforks coming up.  In fact when I think about the time period that Btc went crazy last year it was all about getting free tokens from the various hardforks.  Yet, we got bored with that.    I haven't seen ANYTHING happen that would justify...  Now I need to put more money in BTC, have you?

Think about how much money got made out of thin air last year.  Ohhh, I made a hardfork!  Suddenly everyone's wallet doubles at the moment of Hardfork, both tokens hold the same value.  A sell off follows, but if the coin doesn't reach zero, there was money made out of thin air.  :)  So, how many people want to drop some more money in, I guess time will tell.

I'm not bearish on Crypto in General.  I feel it will rebound in the fall and winter, but for reasons I will not understand.  Every time it moves someone will point to an article stating why it happened and that will become the new story.

Sorry Guise, I love the idea of Crypto, but this is a weird market.  :)

I've suddenly decided I have rambled enough and I am going to wrap this crappy post up.

So, what are you writing about or thinking about?

Maybe tomorrow I will have something awesome to say, for today...  I am here...  Engaging on whatever level I feel like on each day.

"Maybe I should take a picture of my dinner"

Please don't do that. Unless you are having tiramisu for dessert. Then, do that. Actually, still don't do that, as that would just make me hungry lol.

"this is a weird market"

Very weird. The big money is waiting outside, plotting and planning. The little money has lost all interest, but the little money is dumb money, and will come back in as soon as the big money moves.

BTC is not all about slowness. It is also about the lightning network, and figuring out how to keep most of the business off-chain. Although idealists don't like that, turning the BTC blockchain into a settlement network, for activity that mostly occurs off-chain, is the scalability of the future. :)

Yeah, I can't say lightening holds a lot of interest for me either, but what I do know is some great brains are working in crypto and if not Bitcoin, something will scale.

With HF 20 around the corner and SMTs I believe from what I have studied is that Steem will go up. Especially with the SMTs which people will need Bandwith from Steem and thus make Demand increase and Prices will go up

Moon!

I know the pain. I haven’t written a post in a week due to a lack of time and inspiration. It’s not all bad though. I’m learning about new stuff which will make for a couple of posts.

Dude, 1 week is nothing, I haven't written a post in a couple of months :)

Bahah, get on to it. :)

I normally post every day or two. Just struggling with time and inspiration at the moment. And no so much as a result of the price of Steem. I think I'm just a little burnt out.

I make myself post. At this point I am a little afriad I would wander off if I let myself wait until I felt like posting.

Yeah I normally make myself post as well. I have too much happening right now though. I’ll be back in action soon though.

#skills lol I've never used photoshop before.
Sometimes I struggle to do my one post a day.

Golden tongue?

Maybe I meant silver. haha. :)

i deeply enjoyed your "crappy" post... i don't think you can shitpost @whatsup - you need some lessons, i can recommend a few users if you wish.

hahha! I agree sir meno! if this was having nothing to say and this was a non-post then he needs to go back to s___ posting school! lol

In a twist no one saw coming, this was actually a fun, entertaining post that I was happy to read from start to finish.

Funny how that works out sometimes.

Haha, :) Phew! I only need one person to enjoy it and that is enough for me!

I'm not bearish on crypto either but I definitely wouldn't invest Fiat in it right now. My money is hard earned and everything is too risky and flat.

It's hard to make things flow when the world is feeling like a depressing and oppressive place.

Everyone came to my job today. Everyone being Managers from all across the organization. They come once a year to shake things up and fire a couple of people. I survived the ordeal but a couple of my friends got fired even though they did not appear to have done anything wrong. I think they just like to fire people. It's great.

My intention was to write another fiction story tonight but they do take hours and I'm not getting much luck on having any readership now. I'm thinking though that I should probably go back to writing simple blog pieces. Those took about 20 minutes and they actually got a lot more views. But then again I don't really know what to do. I do wish I could pull a story out of my ass though. I haven't written a damn thing today.

That is why I force myself through some shit posts once in a while. :) Sorry to hear about your day at work that sounds like a really shitty day. Never feels good the day after either.

It's been a rough one. I'm thinking about going to get a beer. Bad idea though. I just got an email from my friend who took our dog a few years back. She died. Should he send me her ashes?

Bad day.

We all have them though.

You know what I miss? The meme contest that we used to have on here. It seems like most of the good contests dried up and vanished. Color challenge. Fifty words.

Well, there is your next post... Create a new writing challenge, I'll play, however badly.

Well if you'll play then I'll do it. I have to think of something really crazy though.

I did it @mctiller style. Even made some prizes.

Haha interesting 😂

@whatsup,
STEEM HF is the Fork that will not make us additional money like BTC did! So I prefer this one as the example for the HF! HF to improve the power of chain! But idiots use that word to F##K the blockchain and earn super duper d##b a## coins!
Oh s##t I have used too much f##king words here :/ Sorry!
@ned looks RIP till 4 big news hit the market!

Cheers~

money in BTC, have you?

Yes, Praise God, I bought a tsp full today ;+)...I figure it would have to drop to around a $1 for me to lose, at this point.

Interestingly, I have a brief opinion post in draft from a couple hours ago regarding this recent buy and why. When my distracted thoughts cease I plan to upload it before 9EST...lol! We'll see.

Best regards.

Peace.

Haha! with all my talk of not buying I sunk about $2500 in crypto last week. I am thinking of repeating this next week.

LOL! Follow your intuitive spirit (heart); and, don't second-guess your decisions. For sure, investing is a smart thing to do. I see it as a step above the lottery. While the $1. scratch-off may yield zero, the dollar put into crypto will at least yield that much; and then some long term, (prayerfully) ;+).

Best regards.

Peace.

It's been 2 years, huh. :|

this stability is really boring. two days ago my brother tried to teach me how to trade, told about some indicators etc. I've been checking cryptos since then. Well not even a leaf moves. It's so boring I don't know what is going to make these markets alive again. Either in fall or winter, looking forward to it.

The stability IS boring! Really really boring.

that's why I love me GIFs ...made a whole bunch for STEEM and now I will posting them all over the STEEMenternet..

Basically the way the human mind works in general. You do things, then worry about making up the story of why later.

So wise and true!

It happens but you got a great point across! I think that these times are good for us to take a step back and evaluate what we are doing. It is also a great time to learn more about the technology or markets in general if that is what is needed to feel more comfortable with positions we hold. I have found myself reading more about the technology behind blockchain and its potential far beyond cryptocurrencies. We are still at very early stages and it will take time for most to realize value; so why not learn and share in the process here on #Steemit?

haha I love your bad art. usuck

Have you looked at https://steempeak.com?
They let you keep drafts and schedule a month's worth of posts.
I've been phoning mine in during this move.

I think steempeak is great looking, I keep trying to get in the habit of using it.

Haha I feel your pain. I just posted a pretty "rambly" story last night lol. Those writers block filled days can be pretty rough.

I have noticed that some crypto also seems to do better during times of instability and uncertainty. Everything was way up back when it was looking like Trump might tweet us into a war with North Korea. Coincidence? Probably but it seems to make sense to me. What do I know though lol?

We don't have to know much, just show up and engage.

Btw, that meme is sooooooooo far off the future...Steemit isn't going anywhere. It is a pioneer. While it currently runs on the fuel of a handful of investors it will remain. They'd all have to power down before the doors would close; and, I don't see that happening.

Regarding Steemit, I think of it as an expandable object arriving in tons of shrink bubble wrap. Once that wrap is removed (those things, i.e. bots and reward pool wars) it will balloon into a project that the developers will be glad for all of their hard work; OR (hold for 5 seconds, lol) it is a pump and dump which explains your meme....lol....I must not have anything else better to do...lol...

Best regards.

Peace.

I love the people who run around Steem and complain about Steem. You have no idea where it is headed and neither do I. We could both guess..

Did you know myspace is still going, and people work there and guess what they make money.

myspace is still going,

Wow, I thought it was a relic of the dinosaur era. I will have to look into that!

You have no idea where it is headed

So truth @whatsup...I am reminded how reticent I was to join Steemit; because a platform that was near and dear to my heart (Print n Post) just folded up one day without a single warning. I went to log in and got the page that buys urls. Wow. Thankfully, I was able to recover my posts before the entire thing went blank. I can remember conversing with the developer for weeks to let him know he had something akin to FB; but, his heart wasn't in it apparently.

It's not real encouraging when the CEO powers down millions; but, it shall be interesting to see what happens long term.

Peace.

Look, Ned has too much stake everyone knows it. It is bad for Steem for him to hold that much. We've been talking about it for years.

Now you using as your main point that we are doomed. Um, okay... :) All you sad/mad people confuse me. If you dislike the place which is completely understandable, why stay and complain? I seriously don't get it, maybe you can enlighten me.

It is bad for Steem for him to hold that much.

Aha! Finally, someone who knows what they’re talking about. As a novice, I read the words of other novices (obviously), or rabble-rousers who made it seem that his powering down was a sign that he was ‘cutting his ties’.

It is good to finally hear that his mega power down was for the benefit of Steem. All I kept reading was the hype; unfortunately.

It becomes clear as I stare at it from the logical sense: A person with that much ‘power’ can skew the pot significantly…got it!

Now you using as your main point that we are doomed

Doooooooooomed? My apologies if I came across inferring that on any level.
Hardly…I’ve written too many comments with the bottom line being “Steemit is a pioneer; and, here to stay”. I’d love to read my inference to anything suggesting other than that.

I am with you on the ‘leave it if you don’t love it’ mindset. Life is too short to dabble in anything that holds no intrinsic value.

All you sad/mad people confuse me.

Lol..I'm accused of being many things @whatsup; but...praise God... those two adjectives are clearly not amongst them...nowhere near accurate...lol...

Best regards.

Peace.

Ah com'on now.... I LOVE your posts!
Anything you write is fine with me. 🤗

well its hard for everyone it doesn't mean that steemit is gonna die :/

haha! sir whatsup this one of the best notsaying a thing posts I've ever seen, except the meme makes no sense but still we get it! thanks for not saying anything!
