Our 2nd day of training was full of excitement for we will going to make a delicious lemon tart. A lemon tart is a dessert fish. It has a pastry shell with a lemon flavored filling.
Before we start baking, Miss Annabelle and Sir Dave did first the demonstration.
Now we're so excited for our turn.
In making a lemon tart, we need to follow these steps. For the Crust combine we need:
1/4 Cup Cold Butter
1 Cup All-purpose flour + 1/2 Cup for extra
1/4 Cup White Sugar
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
5Tbsp Cold Water
Pinch of Salt
Here are the procedures:
- Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly then add extra flour if needed.
- Kneed until it combined.
- Cooked for 10 minutes.

Flattening the crust/dough
For the filling combine, we need:
2 Tbsp White Sugar
1 pc Egg yolk
1 Tbsp All-purpose flour
2 Tbsp Water
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1/4 Cup Milk
1 Tbsp Butter
4 pcs Calamansi
You just double boil sugar, egg, calamansi juice, flour, water, vanilla, milk, and butter until its sticky texture then remove.
Lastly, you need 1 egg yolk for egg wash.
Then bake for 15-25 minutes. And finally! You can have your delicious lemon tart! Ready to eat!!
