Hey Peeps! Here my review on 68 Canggu Rooms - Bali:
The biggest problem was I had bed bugs in my bed, and the staff didn't want to refund the money because they don't think it's a fair thing to do. So, I told the guy at reception about my problem, (first I thought I have just been bitten my mosquitos), and also the cleaning lady,...However, after she changed the bed sheets, the problem became bigger and I have been attacked by bed bugs.
The bed sheets smelled like old washing, maybe they didn't dry it early enough or just washed it with cold water which is very common in Bali. It smelled horrible. Just like you would leave it in the machine for a few days.
I had a small balcony to the quieter side of town which was nice, however my friend didn't even have a window and actually paid more money at arrival than I did via booking.com
No soap at the sinks, when I asked for this they simply said: 'Oh sorry Miss, not included!' Well, thanks. (I asked 2x, two different people, and got the same answer).
Both doors, the one to enter the room and the one to enter the small balcony, were very hard to open and slid across the floor and you had to really push hard to open it.
No cleaning service during the stay either, until I asked for it. Then I left the room into town while they were cleaning, when I came back the doors were left open. Lucky me I had all my valuables in my small backpack with me. If not, anyone could have walked in at any time to take whatever they wanted.
My friends bed sheets were not clean when she first moved into the room, she thinks they didn't change it from the guests before.
OK, we paid between 200 k - 350k each, but common, at least give me fresh bed sheets & a bed without bed bugs!
Owner of the place, name Ketut didn't give a damn and laughed at me and called me crazy when I said I am not happy to pay the full sum.
I do not recommend to stay there. There are lots of other places around the area which are the same price, but much much nicer.
The location is great (that's the only reason why we booked it) - and that's about it.
