I went bamboo shoot hunting.

タケノコ刈りに行ってきました。去年は地面が硬く、掘るのに苦労しましたが、今年は発電機やハンマードリル、ブロアーを持っていったため、より効率的な作業ができました。
I went bamboo shoot hunting and would like to share my experience in this blog post. Last year, the ground was very hard and we struggled with digging up the bamboo shoot. However, this year we brought a generator, a hammer drill, and a blower, which made the process much more efficient.

ハンマードリルを使うことで、タケノコの周りだけを小さく掘ることができるため、埋戻しも簡単です。また、ブロアーを使うことで、下に積もっている枯れ葉を吹き飛ばすことができ、タケノコを見つけやすくなりました。特に、超強力なブロアーを持って行くことで、より効果的な作業ができることがあります。

The hammer drill allowed us to dig around the bamboo shoot and make the hole smaller, making it easier to fill the hole back up after harvesting. The blower was incredibly powerful and helped us blow away the leaves and debris on the ground, making it much easier to spot the bamboo shoot.

残念ながら、密猟者によって多くのタケノコが採られていったため、採れた量は少なかったですが、それでも楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

Unfortunately, many bamboo shoots had already been harvested by poachers, so we didn't get as much as we hoped. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the experience.
