Usefulness of banana leaves

Banana leaves are large and waterproof.
They are decorative and flexible.they are used for cooking,wrapping and decorating.many cuisines are served in banana leaves.specially south indian people serve their food in banana leaves.In bengali cuisine banana leaf used for making paturi.bhetki and ilish are commonly used for making paturi and being a bengali girl i can tell that this paturi taste awesome.
And yes many village people still used banana leaf to decorate their house for many occasions like puja and weddings.
