Thank you for this. Where we live a few people have banana trees and are able to get them to produce bananas. Was looking at giving it a try ourselves soon so this was prefect timing for this post.

I bought a couple dwarf banana trees from Baker Creek. They are growing slowly but still growing. Growing them in pots indoors currently. No plans on putting them in the ground as they will die in the winter around here!

So as soon as the fruit is ready you chop down the tree? The baby next to it will take its place and will be as tall as what you just cut down? I didn't know any of this before. Thanks.
