What is BandZ?

BandZ is a global extranet project with aim to make enterprise-grade software products – VPNs, remote proxies, bandwidth sharing and mesh networking – accessible and cost efficient to novice users in a decentralized and secure fashion. BandZ network improves on the weaknesses found with the current user’s internet experience:

The high price of domestic internet services, roaming mobile services, and premium security services, can be reduced by decentralization

The technical barriers for adoption of security services can be eliminated

Internet can be made accessible to mobile devices in countries with low infrastructure

Unlike other blockchains which have different value propositions, BandZ focuses on connectivity and microtransactions. BandZ is building a network by which internet becomes cheaper for users around the world. Ideally it will be a network that will allow you to pay ISP bills by simply keeping your machine on. It also offers an end-to-end encryption.

Mobilization and Marketplace

BandZ proposes to make your traffic yours. In the future BandZ aims to expand out into creating smart contract-based networks via a combination of satellites, wifi towers and mesh mobile wifi access points.

BandZ is about the commoditization of bandwidth. This concept naturally leads to a marketplace, which on the internet, will catalyze the advent of bandwidth exchange rates, varying by geolocation and type (data center, residential, 4G/LTE).

Globe Peer Connection

To make a truly free and decentralized internet, Bandz will allow incredible pairing across the world through residential and mobile IPs. One user’s residential IP is usually enough to provide decent service for another individual’s mobile needs.

Included below is my proposed logo for BandZ. I choose this design because BandZ is not only a network of servers but a decentralized market.
