Bar Chef in downtown Toronto offers an artistic cocktail experience to their customer! The bar is located at 472 Queen Street West. The dimly lit bar filled with cozy and intimate atmosphere, is an ideal place for couples. We have tried two cocktail drinks from their molecular program:
The Black Truffle is a sweet, sipping-style option paired with a savoury bite. It consists of black truffle snow, smoked salt, coconut foam, lime zest, gin, coconut liqueur, dill, elder flower liqueur etc. The black truffle with sea salt is salty, and the cocktail itself is sour. But when you took one bite of black truffle and one sip of cocktail together, it tastes pretty nice and sweet.
The Vanilla Hickory Smoked Manhattan is the cherry and black licorice with a pleasing burnt hickory flavor infused à la minute. It is a combination of Crown Royal Special Reserve, vanilla infused brandy, cherry and vanilla bitter, hickory smoked syrup, smoked hickory and vanilla. The smoke gives you a strong scent of smell. The drink itself is formed in both liquid and foam, which has a refreshing taste.
Other than beverage, there are a few selection of light snacks are also pretty delicious. We ordered the mini burger, fries, and shrimp tartare (We believe it is not available in the menu anymore). Those are not disappointed at all.
