Yes I read the Bible. I was a preacher for 6 years and had my own church. I could preach for at least one hour from any page of the Bible. The Bible says nothing about being thrown in front of cars.

This is tricky. One person said they last saw him in Galilee, another said Bethany (on the eastern side of Mount Olivet) and another said he saw him somewhere on the way to Damascus so the eyewitness accounts are all over the place. The sketch artists all kept coming up with pictures of white guys. If you ask me a whole bunch of people are lying.

Hahaha... I love it. It's also sad that Christ (if you believe he existed) has a message of love and tolerance (turn the other cheek, love thy neighbor, etc) yet ultimately her reasoning comes from a place of FEAR.

I always thought the self immolation practiced by some Buddhist protesters was a pretty good argument against the existence of hellfire. If a person can learn to control their mind to the point that burning to death doesn't perturb them, I imagine all the people who have been burning in hell for thousands of years have most likely gotten used to it.

Great post by the way. I think Christ has a lot to offer if you don't get hung up on the eternal torture stuff.

Of course I mock the Christians. I mock all institutions that are responsible for more murders and suffering than any others. Most human suffering can be traced to Christians, Muslims and government. As a humanitarian, I can't ignore it. That said, I'm a big enough boy to still be friends with any person....except a cop. lol. I've noticed you rarely have anything positive to say on my blogs. You should go back and read my comments. I've said nothing but encouraging things expressing that I'm impressed with your compassion and work you've done to help folks. This is the first time I had something negative to say.
A Christian isn't an institution. Murder is anti-Christian. Nothing compares to the evil perpetrated by the state. Attributing "most human suffering" to Christians is simply inaccurate. The greatest humanitarian efforts have clearly been done by Christians. And, yes, a lot of stupid stuff has been done by them too.
You have influence here, and this thread of comments contains more hate than I've seen in a long time. As I said, it's sad, especially from someone who clearly has so much compassion.
