Last night's game was amazing, but I suspect the Brewers will pull this series out. Their bullpen is comparable to the Rockies' superpen (although Jeffrey's injury risk is concerning, as he didn't pitch on Monday against the Cubs).
The Rockies are set to start Senzatela on Thursday, with Marquez, Anderson, and Freeland going subsequently. If I'm Bud Black, I'm not giving Jon Gray the ball except in long-relief. He's simply been too unreliable.
Brewers won't release their starters, but odds are Wade Miley will start on Thursday.
I'm excited to see these two offenses. The Rockies have been quiet their past two games, but David Dahl was arguably the hottest hitter in baseball prior to them. Add in Nolan Arenado, Story, Blackmon, and MVP Christian Yelich and a stacked Brewers lineup, and these robust rotations could still get shelled.
What are your predictions for this series? What about for the Wild Card game tonight?
Rockies hold on in extra innings just to get here but don't think Blackmon and company can beat the mighty Brewers!!!
