Times have changed

Eighteen months ago I had completed the move to the 20th floor.

Say again...

Times have changed, as have the amounts that appear under everyone's posts. Yes I know, you are all looking at that dollar figure under my post. But, the actual money you have made on all your posts is not in dollars. If you spend any of it now, you are selling yourself short.

The dollar amount is only a snapshot in time. When the Steem price again rises to $8.00 per, all posts that now show $3.65 will be worth $85.88 spendable dollars, that is, once the SP is converted and sold for $8 each.

My last post earned $10.23 - Feel free to upvote it to make that higher. But, as it stands, it is worth $10.23 or lunch money. But I am not going to spend the $10.23 now. I will certainly spend it when Steem is worth $8 or above, in which case the effort that I spent to make that post will be worth $110.00

What I am saying is a fact - I have lived through high times, and I have saved through low times on Steemit. The same goes for the effort spent to mine bit.coins way back when, earning $3 per day- Crazy! Until it is not Crazy anymore, but rather $11,350 per day, every day, back then.

You can not go back and mine the coins at low prices. But you can create SP and Steem out of thin air now, and spend it when it is worth a lot more. Will it go to $8.00? How about $100.00? No!

But the dollar will continue to be worth less until it is worthless (All paper always turns into toilet paper). You will eventually get 100 of those dollars for 1 Steem. That will happen, but I am not sure you excited you will be to have a hundred-dollar-bill when that time comes.

Back on topic - I moved

That is to say, my life was in a blender back then. I slowly pulled everything out of baskets and boxes. I organized my space twenty floors above ground level and took the time to make that place my place.

Now...

All that is left - An Empty Hole in the Sky

My life is back in the blender. Try tossing everything you own into a cement mixer, then dump it back out into a new rental unit. Then look for that bill you need to pay by the fifth. Where is it?

"Honey, I can't find the tape. Do you know where I left it?"

Life goes on, shopping, cooking, having dinner at Che Taco, posting and trading coins. The difference is that all my furniture is in storage, the place where I sleep is temporary, and the move will happen again when a new apartment is found. Until then, "Where's my phone charger?"
