효율적인 API (Simplified API)
과거 바이트코인의 큰 문제중 하나는 다소 복잡한 크립토노트 프로토콜로 구현되어 다른 리테일 시스템과 통합이 손쉽지 않다는 점이었다. 신규 업데이트에서는 이 이슈를 해결하여 소프트웨어를 효율적이고 간단하게 만들어 바이트코인의 통합을 용이하게 개선하였다. 또한, 효율성이 증대된 신규 API는 더욱 안정적이다. 현재 시장에 나온 많은 암호화폐들은 시스템 에러 및 충돌 등의 문제를 안고있는 실정인데 바이트코인은 이를 더 잘 방지할 수 있게 되었다.
LMDB (lighting member database)
블록체인의 다운로드 및 저장 컨센서스를 변경하였다. LMDB 소프트웨어 라이브러리를 사용하여 블록체인의 크기를 거의 반으로 줄여서 이전 버전보다 동기화 속도를 4배로 증대시켰다.
해킹 방지 (Fraudulent activity prevention)
이전 소프트웨어 버전에서 존재했던 많은 보안 취약성을 해결하여 금번 업데이트에 반영하였다. 이를 통해 사용자들은 바이트코인 지갑을 사용한다면 그 이전보다 더 안전하게 바이트코인을 보관할 수 있게 되었다.

Bytecoin’s Latest Wallet Revolution - March 20th
Bytecoin, which is known as the fully-anonymous cryptocurrency which first implemented the CryptoNote protocol, is publishing a major software and wallet update. This update, learning the lessons from its recent beta release, has proven to solve Bytecoin’s most essential technical issues as well as improve both the stability of the system and its reliability.
Following the 2018 Bytecoin Roadmap, Tuesday March 20th is day that BCN users and crypto enthusiasts around the world will be able to experience the new software and wallet release. Below, readers will be able to see the specific technical details that discuss all of the improvements that will be implemented in the latest update.
Send Proofs
The Send Proof feature is one of the major highlights of the new update in that it make it possible or users to verify and prove that payments have been sent. Users will be able to verify the address and the amount of coins that have been sent to themselves or to other users.
While other cryptocoins allow this option, no other cryptonote privacy coins have included this feature in such a user friendly and easy to use way. Any users with Bytecoin’s desktop wallet will be able to utilize this after the update has been released.
Simplified API
The biggest thing holding Bytecoin back in the past has been the somewhat complicated cryptonote protocol that has made it difficult for Bytecoin to integrate with many merchant systems. The new update gets rid of this issue by simplifying the software involved in getting Bytecoin integrated.
In addition to this simplification the new API is much more stable making crashes or system errors much less prevalent than many other cryptocoins on the market.
LMDB (lighting member database)
We have changed the consensus of the downloading and storage of the blockchain. Using the LMDB software libraries gave us a reduction in the size of the blockchain, reducing its size by nearly double and speeding up the sync time 4 times quicker than the previous version.
Fraudulent activity prevention
The Bytecoin Team has also included a major update in fixing many vulnerabilities from the previous version of the software. This will help users feel more secure when using the Bytecoin wallet as they can be assured that their coins are safer than ever before.

Walletd
-기존 지갑 파일은 키,트랜잭션,캐시를 저장하였는데 새로운 지갑 파일은 키만 들어있습니다. 하여 용량이 작고 백업이 쉽고 손상될 우려가 없어졌습니다.
- A가 B에게 바이트코인을 보낼때 B는 A에게 증명을 요청할 수 있습니다. 바이트코인은 익명이라 거래를 추적할 수 없어 전송 증명을 하면 발송 증명을 할 수 있어 상호간 분쟁을 줄일 수 있습니다.
지갑 GUI업데이트가 있습니다.

The Bytecoin Development team is happy to announce that we’ve reached another important frontier in our yearly Roadmap and we are happy to present you with the most essential updates that you’ve been waiting for. Let us help make you familiar with the progress that we’ve been working on for past several few months.
To start with, one of our main objectives has been to create/make/write a brand new API. The main difference between the old and the new API is it’s simplicity. While the old API was quite hard to work with, and as a result, also hard to integrate, the new programming interface allows anyone who would like to take Bytecoin as a basic payment approach much easier. Moreover, several modifications have made the whole software more stable and reliable than ever. The new Wiki has already been officially released, so everyone who’s willing to integrate with Bytecoin is welcome there.
As for the back-end part of the update (which as always, is divided in the bytecoind and walletd parts), the Bytecoin Development Team has decided to implement the following features to improve the speed and reliability of the software. In addition to this, the release of this software has also appeared in our new GitHub Repository:
Bytecoind
LMDB library as a standard to optimise the blockchain size from ~ 50GB to ~ 25GB
Instant starting and stopping daemon
Parallel “torrent-like” downloading of the database which allows user to download blocks at the same time from different peers
The new API has been simplified and it’s easier to integrate with it. Ports and endpoints remain the same.
The updates above will help make the BCN software much more user friendly and stable. As a result, there’s almost 0% corruption of the database. In addition, the LMDB and the new downloader working in unison, have reduced the total sync time (the average sync time for SSD is 2 hours, HDD is 8 hours).
Walletd
Earlier the wallet file was used to store keys, the history of transactions, and the cache. In the new walletd the wallet file contains keys only. The history and cache have been divided into their own folders. For this reason the wallet file won’t increase it’s size. The wallet file is extremely compact, easier to backup, and almost completely immune to corruption. You can create your cache, without touching keys and/or history. The new wallet file is compatible with the old one.
Send Proof. It’s a cryptographic object which is able to prove that the creator of this object has really sent the coins. For Example: In case Alice has sent the coins to Bob, then Bob can ask Alice for the proof sending. This is a method of solving disputes between companies and users, as far as Cryptonote’s blockchain isn’t able to trace the transaction, neither senders nor the receivers address.
The front-end part has been updated significantly as well and mostly influenced by the major back-end implementations. The new design and variety of new features have been made available to implement by Bytecoin’s community of enthusiasts, working in tandem with the Dev Team. Take a brief look at the GUI updates:
Early support for dynamic fees has been included. The size of the fee depends on the market’s overload/loading/etc.
Detailed info about your coins such as spendable dust, and locked or unconfirmed coins, etc.
Added HTTP basic authentication
Fixed CSRF vulnerability
Console available on the dashboard. Monitor your daemon activity and easily make reports by copying the stats to a clipboard
Unified and simplified API (The GUI client now works with the same API as the exchange platforms and merchants)
Contacts section has been improved. Now the contacts are stored separately from the .wallet file to make its file smaller
Redirect the blockchain to the folder you’d like to store it
Added HTTPS support for connections between walletd and bytecoind. It gives the user the guarantee that he’s connecting to the desired bytecoind
Remote connections between walletd and bytecoind - “Desktop Lite Mode”. That means you don’t have to download the entire blockchain but to connect to the preferred node.
To summarize, this major release has led us to one of the most important milestones Bytecoin has ever experienced. With the brand new and improved software versions Bytecoin has every available chance to enhance its position in the crypto world. We’ve built an absolutely new, privacy-based financial system and then shaped our codebase in a revolutionary way. Send Proofs 업데이트 관련
1. 상대방에게 바이트코인을 전송
2. overview 부분에 proof 를 클릭하여 메세지 작성후 Generate 클릭
3. Copy to clipboard를 클릭하여 해당 메세지를 상대방에게 보냄
4. 상대방은 해당 메세지를 Tool > Check send proof 부분에 넣고 Check를 눌러서 확인
